How's it going folks,

Should be a handsome photo of me...

About Me

Hi, I’m Charles, a computer science student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a passion for software engineering, human-computer interaction (HCI), and UI/UX design. I love building intuitive, user-friendly applications and exploring the intersection of design and functionality in digital experiences.

I have hands-on experience with Python, C++, and Java, and I’ve worked on projects involving firmware development, customized interconnect testing, and system design. Recently, I’ve been diving into frontend development, UI/UX design, and web optimization, learning how to create seamless user experiences with React, JavaScript, and Figma. Outside of coding, I have a competitive background in table tennis, enjoy watching hilarious engineering videos (esp. Michael Reeves), and love sketching—whether it’s doodles, product ideas, or UI wireframes. I’m also interested in business development, real estate investment, and innovative tech solutions. I’m always looking for new challenges, research opportunities, and creative projects. Feel free to connect—I’d love to chat about frontend technologies, user experience design, sports, or cool engineering ideas!

Fun Stories!

In 2024, I had the incredible opportunity to represent Team USA at the FISU Americas Games in Cali, Colombia—and what a ride it was!

This was my first time traveling to South America, and I got to experience an entirely new culture, eat amazing food, and make friends from all over the world**. Competing at an international level was unreal, but the best part? The off-the-field moments—exchanging jerseys, learning random phrases in different languages, and bonding over our shared love for sports.

Definitely one of the coolest experiences of my life. Can’t wait for my next adventure!
